Excellent book, and live support
The book is excellent, and clearly written to help first time users, and professional transmission builders alike. Great info on the history and evolution of Muncies, well written, good pics. And you can talk directly with the author on the phone, and watch his video's on youtube. I bought an M21 last year for my autocross car, paid a mechanic a lot of money for his "expertise" to build it for me, spent a small fortune on high end parts, and the thing wouldn't stay in gear. With what I learned from the book, and speaking directly with the author, I figured out why the tranny was not built properly, and gained the knowledge to fix those problems by stripping the tranny down, and building it back up myself correcting the overlooked problems. I then bought an M20 to build and am in the process of finishing that. I now have the knowledge, and gaining the experience, to do most anything on these Muncies. Excellent book, especially considering it comes with being able to talk to the author directly about any problems you have. You can even post pics and videos of your issues, and he will advise you, and sell you the right GOOD parts.Read full review

Excellent manual! Very clear and concise and best of all, easy to understand. Great pictures to go along with all the instruction. You will gain all the knowledge from a professional who's been doing this for more than 30 years. This is the best Muncie rebuild, overhaul, and upgrade manual that I've ever seen. It also has the complete history of this storied transmission, and after reading this you will be able to talk to the most experienced gearbox mechanics with competence and authority. Is numbers matching your thing? Well, that's all in there, too. You'll never again have to worry about buying something and finding out later that it is not what you needed. Awesome all around!!

This is the most complete, through , best explained pictorial account of the Muncie 4speed transmission a person could ever hope to acquire. Well worth twice the price. So glad I made this purchase. At 70 years old I have used , battled , raced , rebuilt , restored these transmissions in everything from NCRS 60’s Corvettes to our present D/gas big-block 57 Chevy for the past 50 years. Any wanting to know about Muncie 4spds...SHOULD OWN THIS BOOK! This is a must have for all gear heads. Very detailed and complete identification of each component. Detailed shifter instructions. Easy to read and understand. I wish I had this 30 years ago.
