In Mystery of the Temples, players take on the role of a cursebreaker who travels between the wilderness and the temples to collect crystals of different colors. If you collect the colored crystals in the correct order on your crystal grid, the curse of the temple will break and you will receive runes and victory points. Each turn, a player can move their cursebreaker up to three spaces clockwise. If he ends his movement on a Wilderness card, he uses the card's effect and may gain Crystals that he arranges on his crystal lattice. If he ends the movement on a temple card, he can give up connected crystals on his crystal grid, which are needed for the temple to break a curse and place his curse breaker on the curse breaker box.
