There isn't much to say about this game. I'd say it was perfect for the price I got it. 1. I'm a huge fan of Nintendo DS 2. I'm a fan of EBA 3. My intention was to get to know a bit of Michael Jackson through this game, and those 5 bucks I spent did deliver just that. The quality of the game however is bad. It's very much playable, but the bad design shows everywhere. There's nothing but a goofy MJ dancing on a drawn background during gameplay. During each song, the game stops giving you markers to hit, and you simply have to watch MJ dance through the few animations he has. Other times, in most songs, even on hard difficulty, you'll only be tapping markers to the beat of the clapping, which gets way too repetitive. Some parts are somewhat satisfying to play, but if you have even slight experience in games, there's no way you'll fail any song. The markers also don't always match to the rhythm, and it gets unclear when you have to tap them, and only your adaptation to the game's bad design will get you perfect scores. The sound of you hitting the markers is also too quiet. It all depends on your taste, but the music itself can even be inspirational, it's quite good. MJ's voice is great, and the music has overall a very good feel to it. However, I wouldn't say much about the writing of the songs, much doesn't stand out, they're very simplified, even repetitive and lacking at times, and it feels like a lot of times they had just one idea, and they simply stuffed all kinds of small things in it to make the main idea into a full song. This might work for some because of MJ's colorful performance, but as a big fan of music, I prefer it when there's more to each song than just that one small hook and a great performer. But if you like/are curious about EBA and MJ, I absolutely do recommend this game.Read full review
