I bought this book because I’m interested in cinematic adaptations of P. K. Dick’s fiction, and I must say it fulfilled my expectations. Starting with the idea that films have their own way of narrating, and therefore the value of adaptations go beyond mere fidelity to the source, the author analyzes the features of each other and the way they dialogue. Each chapter is about a movie and its source story. The author compares the way each work deals with “dickian” themes. I think the most valuable aspect is the way he makes the two works to dialogue. Preface is interesting too, because it explains some ideas about cinematic adaptations of novels and tales and discusses blibliography about this topic. It’s a very interesting, clear, reliable book; I recommen it to any person interested in cinema, literature and / or science fiction. I apologize about the mistakes, English is not my mother tongueRead full review
