It started easily even the first time.there are a number of plastic parts on it so will be interesting to see how they go over time. the chute at the back could be larger. it is light and easy to maneuver. The large wheels are excellent

Have used this mower a few times now. Very easy to start and the engine runs extremely well. Engine revs can be hard to adjust and the rear shoot to the catcher is very small. Heaps of plastic parts so I dont expect it to last as long as a more expensive mower. Based on the price, it was a good buy and i am happy with it.

So cheap, it's almost disposable! I remember paying over a thousand dollars for a self-propelled mower, but this probably has all the features you would need for a fraction of the price. Initially I had problems starting it as there is no fuel priming button on this particular model, but after 6 or 7 pulls, the mower self-primes. It now starts up every time after a couple of pulls (and immediately if the mower is warm). Forward motion was probably a little fast for me (the speed is hard to modulate). It's either stop or high speed. I mistook the "forward/back" labelling on the controls as forward/reverse, but the mower is only propelled in one direction. Initially, I had problems turning the mower off, but the tech support explained how to adjust the on/off control cable (just needed a small metric socket and rachet). Something may have been bumped during shipping. You can upload smartphone videos if you have difficulties explaining the problem. Be sure to read the online manual (no paper manual provided with the mower). Apart from the initial hiccoughs, I expect the mower to meet all my needs for the next few years.Read full review

Could have been better for the price you pay. The catcher only fills half way before it clogs up the outlet bit, so then it starts cutting out, and does struggle a little when the grass is thick as well. But the plus side it starts really easy, and the self propelled works a dream, makes mowing a lot easier.

This is my second Baumr-AG brand mower in 3 years. It is a good mower for the money but not really durable. Good and Bad. Good bits: It starts well and does the job. Mechanically good. Deck construction is good. Cheap. Bad bits: Plastic parts are flimsy and break off easily. Wheel caps (rear) fell off within one minute from first use. They don't stay on keep falling off. The side discharge chute is very flimsy and does not clip on securely. It keeps falling off with a slight bump and eventually broke off within 30 minutes of use. The previous mower of the same kind had the same problems and front wheel fell off after about 40 hours of use. The engine eventually died after about 3 years of light use, so I bought another one for the next 4 to 5 years. So, do not expect this brand of the mower to last long. You get what you pay for.Read full review
