With the XP75, Fuji put its own spin on a waterproof digital camera. And while the features are fine, everything else was sort of meh. The camera was weak in low-light settings and the WiFi communication app doesn't work reliably (probably because Fuji seems to have abandoned updating the app). Despite an eye-catching color and a nice size, the XP75 isn't so great. It has a low screen resolution, a disappointing battery life. But for the price, this is the best bang for the buck in waterproof digital cameras. It won't hurt the wallet too much if you happen to lose this camera while on vacation.

I bought two of these so that my son’s could chronicle their adventures on our vacation to Florida. Being that they’re 10 and 12 I wanted to get them something tough that took good pictures but not something too expensive because, after all, they're kids. I shied away from the Go Pros and Go Pro clones as I knew that they were going to be mostly taking stills. Of all of the waterproof cameras that I found in my price range (around $100) the FinePix had the highest resolution (16MP) as well as the most positive reviews. The first thing my sons did with them was throw them in the pool. Not only did they survive their initial 2+ hour ordeal in a saltwater pool replete with continual dunkings and being skipped across the surface of the water while recording they took some really great photos and videos. They are truly amazing cameras especially considering you can get them for $150 new or $80 - $90 refurbished. I bought two that were refurbished and the only thing that mildly disappointed me was that I could not get an accidental damage extended warranty from SquareTrade on an “open box” or used item.Read full review
