a very high quality mig with a budget price tag, an easy to use mig with good features, could improve instuctions on how to set the positive and negative for gasless welding otherwise a very good product that can suit light industrial work to the home handyman

Claimed 195 amps but certainly doesn't weld like a 195 amp portable MIG. You pay for way you get. Yes it was cheap. Bought it for a specific job welding 3mm steel it should have easily been able to handle it. Feed was inconsistent, adjustment was practically non existent and the weld really poor. 10 year's experience in welding so no problem with the operator. As the job had to be done over the weekend hunted around for a UniMig Razor 200amp portable welder a lot more expensive managed to get one for $970. It has more fine tuning adjustments and features as you would expect from a more expensive portable welder. Only 5 amps difference, fed the wire perfectly never failed, most of the welds were never came near 200amps yet the Rossi struggled on maximum power to put down any acceptable weld. Don't waste your money on this welder and get a portable welder that does what its specifications say it can.Read full review

This is the first welder I have owned. So far I am impressed by how easy it is to use. Only issue was one of the leads was not connected internally and I had to open up the unit. I'm not sure if this was intentional. Also the instructions are very general and don't explain how to switch between + and - earth. Overall happy with the unit.

Lays a half decent weld with 0.8 gasless wire on 2.0 rhs. Im a Welder by trade so this was a last resort. For the price not bad but I can't see it being used much after that job I have for it. Torch is tiny and flimsy, half the buttons on the front were poped out and the power cord was damaged. If you can save a few hundred more you would be doing yourself a favor getting something worth abit more.

Functions well in both modes. Power selection and wire feed speed are excellent. Easy strike in arc mode. A one welder for everything. Only drawback in terms of portability is the need for a 15amp power outlet. The braided earth clamp is also very good. This unit is a great asset to the workshop.
