a wonderful quest novel based on Millman’s life
Way of the Peaceful Warrior – A Book That Changes Lives, Dan Millman, 2000. H J Kramer, Tiburon, California. “Old urges continue to arise, but urges do not matter; only actions do. A warrior is as a warrior does.” This book needs to be read by every teenager and young adult. It should be required reading in schools. Because it would, indeed, change lives. Dan Millman was a world champion gymnast, had a girlfriend, and did well in his university work. Yet it was an old man working as a mechanic in a service station who was to teach him the way of the warrior and lift the pall of depression that plagued Millman even into adulthood. Socrates, as Millman called him, teaches Dan that he is living in an illusion of mediocrity. To escape the illusion Dan must learn how to care for his body, meditate, and take action against the crisis of faith that he insists on suffering. Dan learns that he has the power to heal himself – mind, body, and soul – if only he will rip away the veil and just do it. This is a wonderful quest novel based on Millman’s life and personal quest for peace.Read full review

Way of the Peaceful Warrior
I found this book to be truly inspiational. It is a novel, but makes one think so much about their own life, such as what we concieve are problems, and what positivity should be all about. I read this book about once a year to help remind me to keep my chin up. I have read it 6 times. I love it so much, I made this ebay purchase to give a copy to a friend of mine. I highly reccommend reading it. Furethermore, this book was in great condition, so I reccommend buying it on ebay!!!
