For the price, you're better off getting a brand new motherboard. But if you're on a budget, x58 is the way to go. This board is a pretty high-end x58 board. I recommend getting an x5670, x5675, x5680, or x5690 if you go this route. You won't be disappointed.

Asus boards are not just for gamers. My main use of this one is for video editing on windows PC for adobe premiere, and is a great choice among top brand boards for professional video editing. The asus p6td is exactly the same as the asus p6t deluxe v2 except it lacks the floppy ide connector. However it is suppose to be cooler board than the p6t deluxe v2 because of the board design. It supports the latest i7 processors and graphics cards. I bought the p6td because I got a good deal for the p6td at $190 on ebay used. Both boards sell roughly around $288. As always do your homework before making a purchase decision. What you add to this board will give you what your limitations are- whether it's gaming, graphics, or video editing.
In 2012, I built a pc with this board and really liked it. I know people upgrade with the times, but for the purpose I bought this second ASUS M-bard it is just perfect. Great performer.
