Back in the seventies we 'grooved' to the morbid sounds of Manchester. that was a 'post' time. Joy Division were the 'leaders' of new men. their 'leader' "offed" himself and the band carried on as "New Order"- a different/electronic based band. they toured the U.S.A quite a lot in their early incarnation to the point of patronising an early Madonna stomping ground in N.Y.C - Danceteria. their 'biggest' hit around that time was Blue Monday which 'supposedly was the first 12" (vinyl dayz) only release. it was never on an official album. it was a good song that had the packaging of an old computer floppy-disc; very 'retro'; very now. that 'song' comes with this double cd set and is BY FAR the best thing on it. the other 'songs' are like the times spent in November rain. or even the summer rain as ms.
