Starting with the down side to the Samsung S Duos GT-S7562. In comparison to my old Nokia the battery life is very poor, stand by is OK, but in use I am having to charge upto twice a day. Although I did not make myself aware of the operating system, it turns out to be very old and seems to be very difficult to change/update. The good side. Makes phone calls, texts and emails. Internet is fine, no problems with the apps.

I bought this phone primarily for the dual sim function...i have a work and a home sim so i can use both simultaneoulsy on this one phone...also you can set different ring tones for each sim so you know which number you are getting called on without having to look at the phone although the phone does show if its sim 1 or 2 ... It looks good and works well like a samsung...the camera is not fantastic but does the job...however its better than my ipad3 camera I had a chinese dual sim before this...and although it was heavier and less plastic than the samsung...the samsung is more receptive...however the samsung is lacking alot of features the chinese phone had..eg..on text messages it would show against each message if it was delivered...but n the samsung it doesnt...you have to press each msg and see the deails....also the duo is missing auto on and off schedule which is useful for conserving battery overnight when not in use....but the duo doesnt have this feature and i cant find an app that does this...ony aps that turn of certain functions on the phone but not switches it offf and turns it on completely....and the duo desperatley needs this funtion as battery life is bad...even without calls it ony lasts a day. Also the functions are hard to find..settings needed are hidden in deep menus and not well laid out...i might have even missed many functions because they are so hard to find All in all...the phone is good if you need dual sim functions...and who doesnt nowadays....and the screen is responsive as you wuld expect from a branded phone...price is also very reasonable..and it looks good... With so little choice on the market...you cant go too far wrong with this.Read full review
I wanted a Dual Sim mobile to replace my older Samsung Duos B5702 that I had purchased while in Ukraine some years ago. I brought the S7562 for £229 from Ebay when I realized it would not be available from the major networks in UK. The S7562 works well in many ways, the dual Sim functionality is much better than my older Duos. The Sim one slot is 2G or 3G, Sim 2 slot is 2G only both are available at same time ie.. you can receive texts simultaneously or you can be talking with someone and your other Sim can be connected to the net. you can select which Sim is allowed to use data so if you have a data only Sim pop that into Slot one for the 3G data speed. The ease of using dual Sims on this phone is so simple, if you wish to make a call or text selecting which Sim to use its all done graphically with icons of the Sims, you type in your phone number or type your text and where you would normally press send you select which Sim you want to use by pressing the Sim icon its that simple. The screen is not too big and is very responsive but with the usual problems of touch screens and big fingers I use the phone in landscape mode when typing the keys are larger. The phone is quite slim and slips into your trouser pocket and often I do not even realize it there. The battery is a large 1500ma and the battery standby time was a big surprise considering you actually have 2 phones in one. With my Orange Sim in slot one and my Kyivstar Sim in slot 2 I can get at least 2 days use before needing to charge, not as good as my Nokia E71 that lasts almost 4 days between charges. The S7562 battery life is better than I have had with other touch screen phones I have used (I also have an Orange San Francisco and a Dell Streak both needed charging once a day) Maybe other people will find the battery does not last as long for them? because they cant use the phone all day while simultaneously surfing the net.. listening to music.. texting.. chatting on facebook and twitter all day. I Brought this phone for voice communication as a primary function and often have serveral calls lasting about 5-10 minutes at a time, I do check my emails.. I do go onto the net to read news, and I send out an average of about 40 texts a day. And if I was to compare that to other mobiles I have used the S7562 battery life is quite good when you realize you have 2 mobile phones running from one battery which is why many people will be looking to buy a phone like this. I hope you have found my observations useful.Read full review
Good phone, light weight, small in size, 2sim cards both works at same time, (one workcalls & other personal calls). Good operational software fast android, capable of handling many features same time. Easy to use menus.Decent battery life :-) A bit pricey (for the model), but worth the money.
