During the past decade I have been using many high end digital cameras in Nikon and Sony range, including D70, D300s, D7000, D3x, D5, D810, D850 and D4. D4 is the best of all. It is like a magic in terms of colour, contrast and clarity. The resolution is enough for anything and the file sizes are sweet compare to D850. In general D810,D850 will give you more details but D4 contrast/colours are far superior to D810 even better than D850. Comparing to D5, D4 is a better camera almost in every way. The autofocus is better on D5 but not by far margin. Highly recommended.

Superb pro camera if you are serious about sports, wildlife or like me, action shots, the camera simply locks onto a subject at warp speed and stays locked on until you want to focus on something else, I had a D810 prior to getting this, some people say it was a step down getting the D4 but you have to use one to see the advantages over a D810, the speed of this thing is phenomenal compared to the slow D810, which on the other hand would blow this out of the water for product shoots or most studio work, if its speed you need this is the camera.

If you want to get a shot in any condition, this is the camera to have. I bought this originally for sports but realized quickly that it is a lot more versatile than my D800. The keeper rate is high, the focusing and image quality is top notch, I did sports, wildlife, portraits, landscape... in my opinion it is perfect for anything unless you can't really live without 24 or 36 Mp...! I found the accuracy of the shot to be incredible, colors are excellent even at 20000 ISO...! What else can we have...? Of course there is room for improvement with everything but as far as I am concerned, this is by far the best camera I ever had and I had a LOT's OF CAMERAS in my time of different brands. The XQD card is blistering fast, I write RAW to XQD and JPEG to the CF. The fast frame rate is incredible, it just keep shooting... the focusing is easy to work out compared to the new Canon AF for instance and it is lighter than my old Canon EOS-1ds Mk3 I had. About 150g more than my D800 which is not much at all. Actually this camera is BETTER BALANCED than the D800 + the viewfinder is bright, basically, as you can see, I am a very happy owner. I still did not have the need to try the flash exposure compensation with distinction between the background and foreground, I hardly use the flash with this thing. In my opinion an excellent, robust photographic tool.Read full review
The Nikon D4 has proven to be the best performer in the Nikon family. Once owned the D3S I can say you won't be disappointed with this Low Light Gem.
