Quite simply put, the best of the best. A compact full frame, significant battery life, packed with features which are not the easiest to use for new users, but easy to get used to over time and with YouTube

Entry level full frame DSLR. like with all semi-professional cameras, it takes a little getting used to. It’s worth spending the time reading the instruction manual to get the most out of it.

Plenty of reviews online to read - I personally think this is an excellent camera with fantastic image quality. My first FX sensors camera and it is living up to my expectations.

Excellent camera and image quality, fast autofocus in dark environments. Would recommend!

I love my D700, but this is a much better camera. Low light performance is outstanding. Skin tones are beautiful. The focus system is amazing. The extra resolution allows me to use a 50mm/1.4 prime for many situations where I would have previously used a heavy zoom (AFS 28-70/2.8). The compact/lighter body is great, although not all controls are where Nikon shooters are used to. The camera has so many features, and a ridiculously long manual that I only became aware of some features reading online. I haven't tried the video yet, but it's nice to know it's there for when I haven't packed the "proper" video camera. My only gripe is the shutter - it's got a slower max speed and flash sync than other "serious" Nikon bodies, and the sound is more likely to disturb in sensitive settings. Having said that, every other aspect of the camera is outstanding, so I will learn to deal with it. :)Read full review
