It works perfectly and I really like how I can use a real world item to benefit my in game worlds. What’s even better is that it isn’t single use so my purchase is becoming cheaper with every use. If there’s a downside to amiibos, however slight, it would be that you’re paying real money for in game items. It’s kind of like a reusable micro transaction except as well as the in game stuff you also get a funky little figurine and it becomes cheaper with every use. A $20 amiibo used once means that the in game stuff u get cost u $20 A $20 amiibo used 20 times means that each of those items/usages cost u $1 etc.
