Great light with 500 lumens, three light levels and blinking function besides. The light was delivered in a "battery saver" mode that was not explained in the instructions but the supplier, Trail This, responded quickly with the fix.

Several years ago I had a Magicshine MJ-808 900 lumen light. Worked well, but was horribly center-spotted. The diffuser lens from Action Led greatly helped it. Fast forward to the present, and I'm back in the market for a good bicycle headlight. Bought this Swift 500 and have been amazed by the price and compactness/packaging of the unit. Alas, it is barely on the edge of acceptable for off-road night riding on flat trails with gradual turns. Even though the lens and beam spread are fantastic the reach and power are limited. If you ride in urban environments where there is some level of street lighting this light is overly sufficient. If you do true off-road night-time mountain biking this light is inadequate. The button on this Swift 500 also requires a goodly press; enough, that it can disturb the placement of the light on your handlebar. I'm actually surprised at how much effort it demands. I have since purchased a Lumina 850 and have yet to do a night-ride with it, but the button on the 850 definitely seems lower effort. All things considered a lower spec light for urban riding would suffice, but for the price this thing would be hard to pass up. Otherwise, for off-road riding it's not sufficient. Read full review

It’s amazing how far bike lighting has come. I’ve had multiple NiteRider products and they’ve always been well made. This new Swift 500 is the brightest yet and has held a charge beyond what is advertised.

The light it’s awesome but the mouthpiece it’s not good. It makes that the light pop out off the mouth.

Great high quality product from Niterider. Bright enough to be your only light but small enough to throw in a pocket when you might be later than expected. Good city light. I like the fact that the mount is integral and comes off with the light. When a bulkier mount stays on the bike there's always a chance it's been stolen when you come back to the bike.
