Great first investing book for beginners
One up on Wall street is a common sense investing book and is a great first investing book for beginners. The book is not full or jargon or complicated finance theory, just good common sense investing advice. The main premise of the book is that you can find opportunities observing companies while going about your everyday business then doing the required amount of research and if found to be favorable investing before analysts and institutions buy the stock. Lynch stressed that you should invest in what you know and that the more boring and disagreeable the company is the better, as you can invest in these companies at a decent price, while everyone else is buying hyped up stocks in hot industries for over-inflated prices.
