Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Heart Rate Monitors
For longer runs with a hydration pack, this doesn't quite work well for me - but for training (especially intervals, where fast feedback on heartrate is useful) it is comfortable, easy to use, and accurate. I've found this much more responsive than the optical heartrate monitor built into my Garmin watch, which is part of the reason it's so great for high intensity intervals.

Excellent value! Bought a new Garmin Forerunner 735XT and needed a chest strap HRM as the wrist HRM is not as accurate.I also needed the GPS to be off wrist mounted on my kayak. The HRM1G was the best value option. It paired immediately with the new GPS and has worked well over the past month both kayaking and bush walking (about 20 sessions). It is waterproof as it continuedto work well after being submerged for 10 minutes. Older technology and fewer features compared witht the new Garmin swim and run HRM's but it is bullet proof and great value.

I've destroyed 4 of the more expensive clip on type hrms in seven months due to knocks and bumps. This older style is perfect, it might not look as flash or feel as comfortable but it's a solid unit and works. Paired to garmin fenix 5x plus with ease.

This monitor works well and is typical Garmin high quality. If it's to be used in an environment with multiple Garmin compliant machines, you should consider a dearer "coded" monitor to avoid interference from other monitors.
