I have used this tent several times in both hot / dry weather and cold / wet weather. Pros -Easy setup. I can be set up and ready to go in about 5 minutes. -In hot and dry weather I remove the top and get plenty of air flow. -Netting provides full protection from bugs -I'm 6' 5" and weigh about 250 lbs and I can fully stretch out in this tent with room to maneuver -Has been waterproof through strong rains with no leaks. -Like the vestibule to keep gear dry or use my portable stove in windy conditions -Room inside for small gear with attachment points to hang a small bag, fan, or light Cons -Definitely need an underlayer. Not sure the tent material could withstand rough ground -With the rain cover on, there are air vents...but don't expect much air movement. But this is the case in almost every tent I've had. -If using tent without the rain cover, you need a tarp over the top to prevent moisture buildup from dew -Too heavy for the long distance back pacer, but great for short haul / multiple day camping -Awkward (for my height) to transition in / out of the tent - getting in is easier than getting out. And I am unable to sit up straight inside the tent...I have to hunch over to sit up. -Tent stakes are ok for mild weather, but they don't go deep enough in soft ground to withstand heavy wind This is not a tent for serious cold weather, but works well year-round in Texas. One man tents for a person of my size are always a challenge, but overall it works well for me and I really like it. Read full review

The Lynx 1 is a fabulous tent for solo campers or backpackers!!! Enough room to sleep comfortable in . The vestibule was large enough to store my gear and boots . It isn't as waterproof as my Marmots however for the money and a little seem sealer on the stitching it does pretty good for me :) I would buy it again or recommend it to a friend enjoy the great outdoors !!!

This tent was recommended by many as a good entry solo backpacking tent. It went up easy and is free standing. The gear net on top is wonky but I would have still purchased it.

I got this tent for a practical day hike shelter by only taking the rain fly and poles. I only take the full tent on longer excursions. This is a great piece of equipment either way.

Very good tent for the price. It has features found on tents that sell for 3 times as much.
