Love this camera. I needed something a little more mobile that is easier to handle than my other medium format camera. Its built like a tank and the image quality is great. I had never shot with a rangefinder before so that took about 5 minutes to get the hang of. Metering is a simple +/0/-. Focusing is easy. This camera has some quarks like, being sure to focus the lens to infinity before collapsing the front and remembering to take the lens cap off before shooting. Sounds stupid, I know, but if you haven't shot with a rangefinder before, chances are, it will happen. I highly recommend this camera.

I do architectural photography so like a wide lens with a big negative when not shooting large format. This wide angle Makina is the perfect camera for that at about 1/2 the price that many sell for.

This Plaubel Makina Wide was virtually brand new, with almost no sign of wear. Only Mamiya makes a 6x7 rangefinder camera, and the Plaubel Makina is more compact, and just as good. They don't make them like that anymore.
