I ordered the wrong socket (7pin-to-7pin), but needed the 7pin-to-12-pin to make it compatible with the trailer I borrowed. I replaced the socket end. I can confirm that all wires were very well secured and had soldered tips. Very well constructed. Would have been cheaper to buy the correct 12-pin socket version, as Supercheap auto sell the socket for $49 (ouch!).
