I've owned a Norelco shaver for quite some time and find that it excels 1. When I've let my beard grow for at least several days 2. Catching long whiskers and ones that grow at strange angles 3. Knocking down the beard quickly I've owned several Braun shavers for years - for me they excel 1. At getting the closest shave 2. Getting into tight areas 3. Pop up trimmer The Norelco I own doesn't have a trimmer, can't get into tight spots & doesn't shave tremendously close. The Brauns miss longer whiskers or ones at weird angles and their batteries start to die after two years. Sooo . . . I'm trying this Panasonic. After a couple of weeks I find 1. It's quieter than my Norelco or Braun 2. It has a pop out trimmer. Works okay but not nearly as nice as Braun's pop up trimmer 3. Does a good job of catching longer whiskers and ones grown at weird angles 4. Shaves almost as close as the Braun Conclusion: the Panasonic is the best all-around shaver I've owned. I'm not a fan of the trimmer and it doesn't shave quite as close as the Braun but overall it suits my needs best.Read full review
