I wish in the "Tell us more" section, it had an option under "Do you recommend it?" to be "Maybe"; Ditto for is it a good value. It is well known that electric foil and "pad" shavers work well but maybe not as well as blade. Remember that old adage by some shaver manufacturers that their shavers "shave as close as a blade or your money back."? That tells you that blades shave closest. In the case of this Panasonic shaver, that is still true. The foil on this shaver gets dull rather quickly after using it for a few weeks, so I now have to follow it up with a going over with a razor. The reason that I use this shaver is that I keep cutting myself with the razor if I use the razor first; even with shaving cream. I wish there was a way to closely shave but not cut myself. On the good side, this shaver is waterproof and the batteries last a long time, weeks, before replacing. Read full review

Doesn't shave close, must retrace the same area numerous times before it removes a few hairs, and it will probably be uneven. Sometimes bites.

I have been shaving with a safety razor since I was 17 and I'm in my mid 50's now. I don't have real tough bristly facial hair which I think makes it tougher on this razor but it seems to do pretty good. My hair is light colored so even though I can feel the stubble its not real visible. I think what I like most so far is I am actually using it now while I sit in front of the computer with no shaving paste and no cord. So for the day to day this little guy will work just fine. I won't be getting rid of my blades but now I can get away with blade shaving once a month instead of every other day. Absolutely no complaints given the great price and using rechargeable AA batteries means cheap as well as easy use. I would give it another half star if I could for the added bonus of taking the hair off my ears but its just not close enough a shave for 5 stars. If you are on the fence I would say buy it, its cheap enough you can leave it in the car or bag and buy batteries for it as needed just in case.Read full review

This little battery operated shaver is a must for me. I have to keep a slim 'Clark Gable' type mustache trimmed, and this is the only one that can do it. It is very long lifed on a set of batteries, and if you want you can use it in the shower.. which i haven't tried, but it has been dropped in the sink full of water and come out unscathed. The only drawback is my clumsiness. If you ldrop it on the floor and the head is pointed down... you've damaged it to where you need to get a new foil for the razor. You might as well buy a new one as the foil costs 2/3 what the whole razer does. That's the only reason I dropped 1 star from the rating. But overall I am VERY happy with this little shaver.

Shaves close but you have to go over your skin a few times. The instructions say that it may take a month for you skin to get used to a new shaver, so maybe this review is too early! As of now, it does shave fine, I'm using it with rechargeable batteries though I'll use regular AAs on a trip. And it is easy to clean. I like that the foil and blades are replaceable and that it has a switch lock to prevent it being turned on by accident.
