It fits, but...
I bought a size 8 because, well, that's the usual size I wear (or maybe a 7 1/2, but wasn't worried about that little bit of difference). Turns out, the 8 fits me perfectly. EXCEPT that killer elastic band across the top of the foot. Ouch. If you wear a 1/2 size, go the next size up. I'm not going to trade these in for a 9; they would be too big everywhere else. So here's what I'm going to do to fix "the band" problem: Put plastic bags, large enough to fill the shoe, and fill those bags with water, sealing them tight. THEN I'm going to put them in the freezer, where the water will freeze and expand and stretch out the shoes just that little bit for me. Other than that one problem, this are great shoes. These are great, very comfortable, come with thick insole. I pretty much wear all weekend doing farm and garden chores, don't have to take a break because my feet hurt!
