    Essential for Safety

    Jerry cans are only as good as the seals. Damaged or simply aged and hardened seals are very dangerous. Another very dangerous aspect of jerry cans relates to filling at a petrol bowser: never ever fill cans while the cans are in the vehicle. Remove the cans to be filled and place them on the ground ... this insures that any static charge that has built up, is earthed ... and cannot produce a spark when the bowser nozzle is placed into the can for filling.
