I have been reloading for many years. I am currently reloading for 308 long-distance accuracy. So, as I am working-up some new loads, it is important for me to have powder charge consistency. Before, I had to dump from the standard RCBS powder measure, and then adjust with a pinch to get the perfect charge. Now, I just push the button, and the machine does the rest. I made some adjustments to the mechanism (straw trick) as well as reprogrammed some of the times between speed-shifts (lots of help on this on YouTube), and that has made all the difference. There are no overages! It is fast, and accurate, and dispenses the extruded powders as well as the more forgiving "dot" powders well. This tool is expensive, but has reduced my powder-charging time in half, and has relieved much of the tedium of that part of the process. I shopped forever, and finally settled on this one. You should too. Read full review

This is my second dispenser. My first is getting old and I don't want to be caught without one. Still works fine but the new unit is faster to boot and dispense. Both are very accurate. With ball powder most charges are accurate to +/- .05 grains. Stick powder is a bit less accurate but the straw trick helps a lot. I test charges every ten or so on a lab balance and they are always spot on within less than .1 grain. A .5 grain test weight works every time. .1 and .2 will not register by themselves but will if added to a .5 or better weight. Calibration is fast and easy with the supplied weights. it is fast and easy to empty the excess powder from the unit too. Dispenser one has dispensed in excess of ten thousand charges and all I have done was a bit of lube inside the dispenser half of the unit (it was noisy). As stated I have a lab balance and powered trickler and I also have a RCBS 1010 that I use to test the dispenser. I will never be without one again. Best piece of loading equipment RCBS sells. Only downside is initial cost.Read full review

This unit works great and is very accurate, easy to calibrate. Found that if you place scale on a level surface and out of a draft makes a big difference. Also to stop the static cling on the powder measure take a small soft paint brush and coat the inside of the hopper with a thin coat of graphite, that will stop the static cling of powder. The straw mod works on the drop tube give it a try. My unit is spot on at 99 percent of the time. Plug in turn on and give it a 15 min. warm up.

I’ve been using a beam scale for a long time. I finally broke down and decided to buy a powder dispenser. After researching a few other brands I came to the conclusion this one best fit my wallet and provided quality. So far I’ve had no complains and enjoy it’s easy of use and accuracy. I don’t know how I did it before using a scale.

The accuracy of charges is PERFECT. One wonders why the wind cover was not on a hinge? The instruction sheet could be a lot better! I wish the folks that write the instructions would give them to their wife or someone else to see how easy or hard it is to comprehend. These are minor problems. The product is like all RCBS stuff—great!
