It's a battery!
The battery went into my 160 GB classic. I didn't use the tools, I used a blade and a screwdriver, which messed up the housing a bit. I got one side pried up and then pulled it away from the other side noting that it is kept in with little tabs. The cable did not go in well until I went over the video again to see that there is a clamp that must be lifted up to allow the cable in and then pushed down to clamp it. The battery took a charge and all would've been well except that now it appears that the hard drive needs to be replaced due to damage when it was dropped on the cement floor. The ribbon cable to the earphone jack also had broken, either from the fall or when I took it apart. Don't drop your iPod.The battery went into my 160 GB classic. Great Quality Battery, Just make sure you have the correct Model..
Battery worked Great! Just one tip, make sure you have the correct model of ipod, Apple made the ipod 6 and 7 with the same model number. However only the ipod 6th 160gb will use this thick battery. I found this out because I first purchased one from another seller and it was the thin version. Then I purchased the correct thick version that I needed. Easy to install.

Total Misrepresentatiom
Represented that changing the battery was of medium difficulty and should take 10-15 minutes with the tools they provided. Gave up after trying 1 1/2 hours. When enquired they sent me website that shows achieving the battery change with a razor knife kit that looked dangerous and expensive to buy this kit. So I will have it changed professionally.

Plastic Tools Break Easily
The Plastic Case Opener Tools are not strong enough to open the case. Unless you have experience opening Apple Cases. I would not recommend this set, as plastic gets chewed up quickly and you may not get the case open.
