Specifically bought a 12V as our last toy car was only a 6V. Can't tell any difference between the speed or operating time of them. Kids love it. Radio very noisy and irritating to adults but again the kids love it! Lots of lights. Doors hard to open for little ones. Works great on fresh cut grass (ie short) and decking.

This is not designed for larger children but was perfect for my 16 month old grandson. The remote control was fantastic as it allowed us to drive it for him but he quickly picked up how to steer and drive the car. The remote was useful then to keep him safe.
