These pulleys are expensive for what they are. The online prices are just bearable. To buy these in a bike store with taxes often run about $45. The work well and are quiet, but they do not stand up to the rigours of mountain biking. I ride about 2,500miles per combination of XC / and road on this particular bike and have had to replace these at least once per year for the past 4 years. Twice they have cracked, once the bearings totally froze up and if they last the full year, they are totally work out by then. I ride about 1500 miles per year on my other XC bike with a shimano XT derailleur and have not replaced the pulleys as yet in the past 3 years.

This pulley kit and packaging appear to be original SRAM. The only thing that makes me wonder is that these don’t spin freely like the pulleys I removed which came original with the bike. It’s a slightest of drag but that’s more than the originals had. Very possible zero impact on pedaling power through the drive train. Otherwise, solid quality.
