Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in iPods & MP3 Players
Well, i bought the Sansa Clip+ as one of the best player in the world in terms of sound. It plays flac lossless files. In combination with good phones it really sounds good, as i like. It takes some time to get used to its menu and the way it plays files, but it's just a time. As one of the doubtful things is battery life time, i expected little bit more time to listn to my music. As good features i can note an additional flash-card memory using, big pin to clip player to wear and usb port that allows me to put my files right into the "music" folder without using any additional programs. So, big thank to creators of the player - they did good work!
I bought this little thing because the price was right and I dislike iTunes. It plays everything in my library and it does it with ease. I can run the radio for over ten hours, which is nice. The menu is simple, the screen easy to read. And I can swap in MicroSd cards, nice touch that. If you are playing audiobooks, it may be best to play them as an album of 4 or 5 files instead of 1 big one. I liked that the buttons were actual buttons; made it easy to work without looking at it. I've had several iPods. They insist on using iTunes. Blech. And they don't play all formats..and they grow legs.. This device is about as close as one can get to a Rio Karma (defunct maker, device played EVERYTHING) without plopping down insane cash. This is cheap and plays FLAC. What more can you want?
I've been using a sansa Clip+ with an SD card for years now, and in my opinion it's the best PMP on the market. If you're looking for a device with great battery life, great expandable storage, and durability, this is for you. It's not big, it's not fancy, it does it's job and that's what I need it for. It even has a built in FM Radio and microphone for recording if you're so inclined. Pros: -Totally compatible with RockBox open source firmware - this opens up a world of new possibilities that include longer battery life, more file format support, and custom themes. -Long battery life - even though this thing is small, it packs a decent battery. If you're using this with earbuds/headphones you won't bee needing to charge it more than a few times a week. -Expandable storage - This is a biggie. Unlike an iPod, the clip+ features a microSD card slot so if 4GB (or 2 or 8) isn't enough, you can carry as much as you want with you at all times. -Great sound quality - These things drive my Sony MDR-V6 studio monitor headphones without any sort of amplification or DAC neccesary. Cons -Getting a bit pricey - apparently the demand for these things is going up and they're averaging around $30. I'd still consider this an acceptable price for the device, that's how good it is. And I'm a cheap guy. -Screen size - this isn't an issue for me since I don't change songs often, but some might find the small OLED screen hard to read, especially with some of the low-point fonts available on RockboxRead full review
the only thing stopping this product from having 5 stars is that i think the previous model of sansa clip holds better to your clothes. really deserves 4.5 stars, but not 5. i've had this model and the previous model, but the previous model's clip is detachable (i don't know why) and it got lost. slot radio isn't really necessary, but the option for a micro sd is good if you have a spare laying around but you honestly don'treally need it because these things come with 2gb of memory and up (enough memory for a 3hr workout or all-day listening at work if you want). B+ or A- because of clip.
The SanDisk Sansa 4G clip player is an excellent buy for music lovers. Not only a fairly long battery life, but also a nice, compact, and fairly durable. I had one for three years before it got massive water damage. I loved every second of it, I love the feature that lets you control how long you want to listen to it (e.g. 30mins, 1hr, 2hrs, etc.) I usually use this function for the later hours when I am trying to sleep. I also love the large variation of languages. There is very little I dislike about said product, once I dropped it in water and it didn't break down, the headphone jack doesn't particularly mess up, and if you set it right the volume can be as loud as people 'enjoy' I do wish that there was an option to where you could protect the screen without the annoying plastic stuff though, that's my only dislike. From almost all different types of MP3 players I have gone through, this one lasted the most time and/or had a better life than most. Like I said earlier the jack rarely messes up, you could drop it from a great height and it would probably still play. There's not a lot you could do to break this baby. TL;DR for those who don't want to read all that: Pro's: Fairly durable, long life externally and internally, listening setting option at a maximum, multilangural, and easy carrying. Con's: Better preview screen durability.Read full review
