Out of the box they went on fast and were very secure. The sound was outstanding and full. These mics gave me my big sound I was wanting even in small venues. Perfect for any drummer on a budget where the value is greater than the cost.

I was using SM 57 on my snare and toms but I keep my cymbals low so these shorter mics fit under the cymbals better and sound fine. The clips fit on the diecast rims of my Gretsch USA drums easily and securely. I’m glad I took the plunge.

These mics are amazing in sound and ease of use! The rubber grip on the mount makes a no muss, no fuss setup. Just fold the end over the rim and the mount is secure! No knobs to adjust or strip out and very sturdy! I wish I'd had these with me on the road years ago and will put them up against my Shure SM57's are far as the quality of the audio goes. I bought a set for my toms on my DW kit and the low profile is sweet as big mics and big mounts distract from the beauty of the kit. These little gems are barely noticeable in photos from the shows! I have 45 years of drumming behind the kit and played across the USA. Best thing since sliced bread!
This is not my first choice of Mic for Toms, It creates a Clear and un colored tone. But it is my favorite mic to use live and travel with, I prefer the Heil PR28 because of its more open tone and deeper sounding lows, but the screws vibrate out of them, so touring with them has caused me to leave them at home because of repairs,

GREAT sound, compact and quick on and off the drum. IMO/E, it's hard to beat the quality sound, and function of these mics for anyone who needs to mic their drums. The low cost of these compared to other options ( cost of a mic, cost of a clip, putting the clamp on, taking it off, packing it...), along with the ease of just popping it on and plugging it in, is a no brainer to me. If you're thinking of making a mic purchase, or need to, you won't go wrong with these. It sounds great on a snare as well, and I dare say, maybe even a little better than a 57 on the snare.
