I bought used lens in excellent condition, and the appearance is really great, almost like new, but after some testing I realized that it has huge AF front focusing problems. At short distance ( about 10 ft ) it was barely noticeable, but at 60 feet I had set AF adjustment to -10 and is still front focusing for about 8 feet. I'll take the lens and camera to Sigma Slovenia, maybe they'll be able to resolve the problem. Otherwise the lens is really solid built, and on MF I got razor sharp images, especially when you step down to f2 or lower. Beautiful colors and really nice bokeh.

The lens itself is a solid construction made of high quality parts, including plastics. It is quite heavy. The lens does have compatibility issues with the 6D MkII and 5D Mk IV, i.e. a number of darkened circles appear burned into JPGs. RAW files are fixed by Lightroom and other apps. In camera distortion correction can be turned off to solve the issue.

Perfect for photographers wanting crisp, sharp photos with beautiful soft bokeh. The 9 blades provide beautiful round bokeh in the background and the image clarity and contrast is gorgeous. I upgraded from the 1.8 and didn't think there would be much difference but I was wrong. I read a lot of reviews between canon and sigma 1.4 primes and this had the best reviews. By far the best lens I have used (love it even more than my 70-200 f2.8). Recommended by a lot of people and the recommendations didn't disappoint.

50mm f1.4 sigma lens is of highest quility and produces a sharp image extremely happy with this lens.
Amazing lens! I absolutely love it - everything from build quality, Bokeh, image quality, this lens absolutely shines!
