Author BiographyJournalist Amy Gahran lives in Boulder, Colorado. Her journalism has appeared in CNN.com, Entrepreneur.com and many other venues, mostly covering energy, the environment, mobile technology and business. She worked closely for many years with the Society of Environmental Journalists. For the John S. And James L. Knight Foundation, she covered emerging local news media. And for the Poynter Institute, she covered the intersection of journalism and technology. Amy has also engaged in unconventional relationships since 2001. From 2012-15 she published the blog SoloPoly.net using the pen name Aggie Sez - which has since stuck as a nickname. She published that blog until 2015. One blog post, -Riding the Relationship Escalator, or Not?- (Nov. 29, 2012) attracted attention well beyond the poly community. This sparked the -Off the Escalator- publishing project, through which over 1500 individuals so far have shared their unconventional relationship experience. Amy speaks at conferences and events on unconventional relationships and other topics.
