Quiet, efficient and nice looking at a really good price.
Having enjoyed using bread makers, and our current one showing signs of age, we decided to buy another, and were pleased to find the Sunbeam BM4500 at such a good price- much cheaper than from other sellers. It has to be said that it gave us a fright at first- a couple of times the display showed a row of backward letter Cs, or a row of number 8s instead of the desired program, and had to be re-set. But all seems good now, it performs well, turning out a good loaf every time; it is also much quieter than previous machines we have owned. The pan is very easy to clean; the non-stick coating is so good it almost cleans itself. Only the kneading blade requires a little care to get any residue off. On the other hand, the blade itself is an improvement on other machines, in that it does not leave a hole in the bottom of the loaf. We haven't tried to make jam yet, but we are confident it will do a good job. The Sunbeam looks really nice too- it would grace the bench of even the swishest kitchen with aplomb. The only slight quibble would be with the small size of the LCD display- those of us with less than perfect eyesight have to squint a bit. But, all in all, a great machine- quiet, efficient and nice looking.
