It heats up fast, does a great job of toasting sandwiches. Plenty of hotplate space. Very easy to clean, just wipe it clean with a paper towel. The power cord wraps easily around the base, snug and out of the way. The appliance simply locks closed, and can be stored resting on its back end, or lying flat. No bad points found after daily use for a month, a top quality machine.

Cheap thin materials. Limited height adjustments. Preferred my more solid previous Breville brand which latest 3 years of daily use. I'll be interested to see how long this lasts, or will it be another case of planned obsolescence.

This grill heats up quickly and comes back to heat quickly when loaded with sandwiches etc. It is easy to clean, best to wipe it down when it's still hot, the sticky stuff comes of easier. Still trying to master the grilling of wraps as they tend to unwrap when you are trying to get the lid down. Also with the pivot point for the top platen on the handle, for narrow sandwiches & wraps you have to judge the placement well or when you push down to grill the narrow items can side forward or backward, requiring resetting of the sandwich etc. A set of left to right ridges in the bottom platen would tend to hold the sandwich while you lower the lid.

Different model than advertised but does the job. Maybe the latest one allows bigger movement of hinge as this one the articles just slide forward. There is no adjustment as advertised due to short connection at rear and it definitely does not stand up as advertised. Back legs protrude too far out. Could do with a higher edges at sides and front. It works really well apart from design issues and for 49.00 was a great buy. We did not need a 4 slice press.
