I have an old model of this audio interface(Tascam US-122). I had heard that it doesn't work with win seven 64 bit. But, now that i have it, I could find a way to use it by win7 64bit. Following are the instructions. 1. Download Tascam US-122 drivers from their website (click here for link). Make sure to download v. 3.40 for Windows Vista and XP. 2. Find the downloaded driver file, unzip if necessary and RIGHT click the installation (.exe) file. Select 'Properties' and find the 'Compatibility' tab. 3. Select to run in compatibility mode, then select Vista (Service Pack 1). Select 'Run as Administrator' (I think - if it doesn't work first time, try unchecking this option). 4. Apply. Run (remember to make sure the 122 is unplugged) and, hopefully, you'll be up and running in no time! After installation is complete, plug it in and watch that pretty green button light up :-) Hope to help you.Read full review
I purchased this item to start recording music for a My Space page. It was a great all-in-one package with PC interface, mic and cable, headphones and recording software. I thought the mic and headphones would be cheappies but to my surprise they were good quality pieces. Am very pleased......Bob
I bought this based on good reviews, plus the very reasonable price. I was able to get up and running quickly and within an hour had laid down a basic four-track recording of one of my grooves. The controls are intuitive, and I found the Cubase software to be surprisingly easy to use (contrary to some of the reviews I had read). Overall I'm very happy, I recommend this to anyone who wants to lay down some ideas quickly, easily, and with good quality.
This is a perfect usb recorder for those who are in the middest of the pro level. It worked well with 32bit windows. But installing the drivers in 64bit windows ended with a crash. So installation was incomplete. Do not know if it is an issue connected with my windows settings! Excluding this everything was working fine. Sturdy functional controls and buttons, pro aesthetic looks and curves. Above, all very handy for offline recordings.
