As an English learner for the second language, sometimes readers wonder how the word has been changing by the periods or the new cultures arrive. We can of course, lean by the classic movies and novels but hardly understand the definitions and how were the words used in England. Pros : - The words are purely defined especially 5th and 6th edition of this dictionary series, and 7th; it got a little more international due to the communication became fast and smooth. - Real handy and portable size, it won't fit in the pocket but no larger than 20 cm / 8 inches. - Simple and tasty expression of usages and able to find the missing links. - Main 3,000 words are explained in detail, such as 'make', 'over', 'get' and etc; this is what I need to know how they were used in England. Cons: - The total words counts are not so much, something around 30,000+, absolutely not enough to read novels. This dictionary gives me some ideas and clue, when I am completely lost in the way.Read full review
