Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) continue to investigate that which cannot be explained in this collection of season six of the Fox Network series. Every episode from the 1998-1999 campaign is included as a millennium frenzy is building and cover-ups abound. Episodes included in this collection are "Triangle," "Arcadia," "The Rain King," "The Unnatural," "Milagro," "One Son," and "Two Fathers." The search for the truth continues in this specially packaged six-disc set featuring all 22 episodes from the sixth season of The X-Files, the Emmy Award-wining hit series starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. An all-new 30 minute documentary is among the many special features also included in this Collector's Edition, which is presented in an all-new anamorphic widescreen format. For me not the best season but worth it see in it… enjoy and believe! ;-)Read full review
This season is after the first X-Files movie. Considering the gripping adventure Mulder and Scully have just shared their professional relationship has developed a new level of intimacy and joviality that is quite enjoyable. You laugh more than ever in this Sci-Fi series. Scully is still staunchly scientific in their investigations which keeps true to her character from the first five seasons and Mulder is more eager than ever to investigate the nature of alien invasions and government conspiracies. So much more is finally revealed about the clandestine organizations conspiring with the aliens and we discover at last why Samantha Mulder was abducted all those years ago. My favorite season with so many of my all-time favorite X-Files episodes.
As Mulder and Scully delve deeper into the mysteries of the X-Files, I find myself all the more engrossed in the search for Samantha, the shadow conspiracy, and the deepening relationship between the two agents. As the series progresses, one also discovers more intricate story plots and ever-improving special effects, which open the door for more episode ideas. As in previous seasons, the episodes vary from humorous to just plain strange to outright terrifying. Definitely worth the time and investment.
You wouldn't think that a show can continue after a movie was made about the series but the sixth season of the X-files has some of the best writing and directing and enjoyable episodes with twists and comedy that it is tough not to watch many in one sitting. If you like the X-Files or any Sci-Fi this is a DVD set that would deserve self space in your collection. High recommended.
dvd arrived in fine shape..as for season 6 it is fabulous....if you are true x-files fan,the govt.conspiracy gets deeper as cigarette man turns to be a key figure not knowing what side he is on...but people being killed follows him.fox in last scene develops a fatal disease as scully tries to solve alien writings in africa.all in all one of the best seasons to date.
