A great read.
A great read. A story of a developing friendship between a widowed teacher and an undertaker, set amongst the devastation of the first world war and the 'flu pandemic rapidly spreading across Europe. Well told, and a fascinating look at a society trying to find a way to survive a pandemic, - face coverings, social distancing, cleaning and disinfecting areas. Ring any bells?
