Excelent gaskets
've been using Platinum silicone rocker cover gaskets for years now and due to them being 3 to 5mm thicker than the factory gasket they do not leak ,like standard gaskets due to them only just being about 1mm thicker than the gap between the head and rocker cover and the bolts having a shank so they bottom out and can't crush the rocker cover so when the factory gasket shrinks from heat over time tightening the bolts will have no effect at stopping the leak but as the platinum gasket is much thicker even if there is some shrinkage they still seal and the bolts can be nipped up a little more. Warning Due to the gasket being quite a bit thicker than standard be careful with plastic rocker covers and don't do the bolts up till they bottom out like with the factory gasket as this can crack ... So i have never had one of these gaskets leak and have even removed a rocker covers after 2 years to replace timing chains' and timing belts an refitted the rocker cover with the same gasket with no leaks .
