    Valve shim remover good quality, but does not fit all twincam Toyota motors

    This shim remover tool will not fit some twin cam Toyota motors. It will not fit my 1993 Toyota Corolla and so I could not use it to take my valve shims out. It may fit the Toyota Hilux and LandCruiser engines but I do not know. My Corolla has the 4A-FE 1600 motor. This shim remover is made of good quality steel and worth the money that I payed for it.

    Great-though could be 1mm wider to pickup both buckets more often- as it sometimes only gets one bucket. But certainly a great unit!

    DO YOUR ENGINE A FAVOUR GET IT AND SAVE BIG $

    THIS TOOL SAVED ME $980 AU. 1HZ VALVE SET ARE A PIECE OF CAKE WITH THIS LITTLE GADGET A GOOD SET OF FEELER GAUGES AND A MICROMETER OR DIGITAL VERNIERS. I WAS QUOTED $1200 FOR A VALVE SET SO I SPENT $65 ON THE TOOL AND TACKLED THE JOB MYSELF. COST ME ABOUT $160 FOR FULL OEM SHIM SET FROM TOYOTA. ENGINE RUNS SWEET AGAIN POWER GAIN AND FUEL CONSUMPTION DOWN. IF YOUR 1HZ ENGINE HAS BEEN LAGGING AND SLUGGISH CHECK YOUR VALVE CLEARANCES AS THEY WILL CLOSE UP OVER TIME
