      Quality security screen lock

      My old Whitco security screen lock did us well but was getting noisy and didn't always catch. I wanted a reliable brand replacement lock so I stuck with Whitco products. I was able to install the item easily on my own and it was good value.

      Good product for a good price

      In the early 1990s I owned a business that made security screen doors. Whitco Locks were used exclusively because they were good quality and we had no problems with them reported by customers. I was replacing one in my house that had been used constantly for over 20 years.

      Sliding screen door lock

      You need to read the instructions carefully when installing this lock (as a replacement for an existing lock). Make sure latch is in open position to insert into cut out (if it isn't in open position it wont fit into cavity). Firstly you will need to insert key and unlock the locking mechanism in the old lock and remove it (after extracting retaining screw from front edge) so that you can unscrew and extract the old lock. Next install new lock and re-insert locking mechanism.
