So far, so good. Pros: easy to install on windshield Suction cup works great & the lock clamp works smooth & easy. Locks firmly. Turning and/ or adjusting the Garmin screen works great. The stand is working great. I only used my previous original Garmin Stand about 18mos before it lost the suction. I live in a cold climate. I think the fluctuation in temperatures may diminish the integrity of the suction cup. It started falling off the windshield during the hot summer mos.it only took me through one summer, so I suspect the life cycle of this product is limited. All the yrs before I used the bean bag that sits on the dash, but it was always sliding across the dash & falling onto the floor every time I made turn! Hopefully, this new w/s stand will last a little longer, but for right I'm a "Happy Camper"Read full review

I purchased two of these suction cup mounts. The first one would not stick to my windshield on the first try. Upon inspection, a crack was found in the center of the suction cup. Thinking it was a fluke, I returned it for another. When it arrived, I carefully inspected the item before opening it. What I saw was the tab was already broken off the suction cup even before the package was opened. After opening the package I took the tab out and bent it. It cracked in half immediately. This tells me the rubber on the suction cup has become too brittle to support the mount. Don’t buy as I suspect very old stock.

This is not an OEM product. I was hesitant to buy it but I took a chance. When the product arrived I found the quality was excellent. I stuck it to the top of my granite countertop and I couldn't get it unstuck without releasing it. I don't know how long this will last in comparison the the OEM ones but I have no reason to doubt there will be any difference.

Product is a good value and quality is OK. Found that the arm is a bit short for some GPS larger than 4" diagonally as it interferes with the windshield of the car (angle of windshield vs. angle of arm car suction cup mount). This does not allow the GPS to be placed on a direct viewing angle with the driver. The original Garmin product offered by Garmin has a longer arm and no issues as described. Small detail.

I bought this to replace a mount which disappeared. The new mount works better than the three previous mounts which came with Garmins. The originals would typically drop off when the car heated up. This replacement has never come off. I am now leaving it "in position" on the window and taking the GSP off the mount. At the price I paid, I wish I had bought another of these to replace the mount in a second car. "Better than new" really applies in this case.
