Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Network Cards
I needed a card that is stable and works well on Linux. Also I needed it to be cheap because I have many computers and the network equipment is often struck by lightning, so I have to change half a dozen cards a year. This card has excellent support for all OS's, is PCI-Express, it's at least faster than 100Mb (haven't tested how close it comes to 1Gb) and it contains a chip from Realtek which is a very reputable company. All this for the cost of a bag of chips, it's incredible. These cards could easily cost 2x or 3x that. But this instead of an even cheaper card. I've tried cheaper cards, they are too problematic for the minimal savings they provide.

Up to the latest speed standards, easy to fit to a motherboard for network connection. Great for keeping a motherboard alive after the built in network chip has failed, generally after thunder and lightning. Easy to get drivers for, generally recognised by Windows any way.
