Nice compact digital camera, considering this is 2009 technology. 12X optical zoom and up to additional 2X digital zoom. 12.1 mega pixel resolution, which is fine for most 4X6 prints. Happy with purchase
The camera is fine. However, it was advertised as new and had certainly been used. There were many images that appeared to be vacation pictures from a previous owner. Also there are small scratches in the viewing screen. Also the instruction book is in Spanish and unusable. That being said, I'm happy with the camera which is replacing the same model I purchased several years ago and was really beat up (by me). A fine portable camera for a great price
This replaced previous SX200 which I bought years ago. That camera went to the top of a Maya pyramid, on safari in Africa, and many trips in the US and Europe. This one works as well as the previous one when it was not. Best feature: Good resolution and color fidelity. Easily carried and concealed in a pocket. There are some places I travel when I don't want to carry or show my large Canon EOS Rebel. Con - Limitations - optical is 12.1 mexapixel and zoom is 12x.
