I bought this at the spur of the moment since an Ebay auction was closing with this camera and the price was right and I Sniped it to get it at a VERY cheap price...(can't disclose the amount....you might hate me !!). But, I am not "overjoyed" with the quality and sharpness of the pictures...they are pretty good and even at the highest resolution (3 stars) they don't seem to have the pizzaz of an equivalent 6.0 MP Sony or a Canon would have. I was actually more pleased with my old Gateway 5.25 MP camera DC-T50 whose picture quality I thought was much superior to the Pentax which I just purchased..yeah at a dirt cheap price...I know....but I was LQQKIN' for everything...low low price and high high quality...I did get the low low price, but got only high quality...hence rating it Good and not Excellent. The things I like about the camera are the 2.5" back LCD, the menu and picture browsing are very easy, it is nice and lightweight and also uses SD card, AA batteries. Battery life is another debate : Alkaline - not recommended...it will suck the juice right out...even if you buy the most expensive Duracell Alkaline...same result as a cheapo Walmart no-name brand Alkaline...dead in a couple of days. I bought a 4 pack of 2500mAH rechargeable AA batteries, they are awesome, will last you for several hundred pictures before a recharge, and so are if you use a CRV3 battery pack. There you have it...my 2 cents...Read full review
It's very compact. It's user friendly. Takes good clear pictures. For the price it is an excellent camera. You get what you pay for. It is a "point and shoot", but it has an optical and digital zoom that is very easy to use so that you don't end up with a clear picture of something too small to see without enlarging the photo. Don't compare this, or any of the cameras in this genre with deluxe cameras costing many times as much. This camera's function is as an easy to carry, and easy to use moment saver. Additionally, I bought this camera used and though it is obvious it has been used repeatedly for some time it is still "like new" in the sense that everything works like new. In my experience there are brands of cameras that would have failed long before getting the same amount of use. I think it is a great deal for the money and I'm extremely glad I made the purchase.Read full review
from previous experienced, my husband had a 35mm (old kind) took nice pictures. That's why I decided to buy this kind. This is easy to operate, unfortunately, my niece dropped the camera and broke it. I used it once and it took nice pictures.
I like everything such as the macrofocus feature which allows a digital closeup of itens for sale on ebay. My only dislike is that the autofocusing is a little tricky. You need to check that it's in focus. When it works good the quality is great; but you have to work at focusing properly.
It is compact and easy to use. I bought it for my nephew . He is very pleased. The pictures are sharp and the color are very much alive.
I love it!! I had one that my granddaughter dropped and broke. I wanted an exact replacement so I didn't have to read directions on a new camera. I am very satisfied.
