Featuring 16.7 MP, the camera lets you enlarge and crop your photos to create the composition you want while giving you the option to create crisp, clear, and vibrant large-scale prints. The 2-inch LCD monitor lets you share snaps instantly, and a rechargeable NiMH battery lasts while you shoot at length. The full-size, 18-millimeter lens means no field-of-view cropping. With the two memory slots, choose the amount of storage you need. Add your favorite compatible lenses for a great addition to your camera kit.The 2.7-pound Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II has some great specs to take your photography to a new level. An ISO range of 100-1600, four frames per second continuous shooting, powerful 45-point autofocus, and a 1.0x full-frame, 35-millimeter sensor are just a few. The viewfinder offers a 100 percent view. It also has USB 1.1 for direct printing and a 100mbps Firewire connection. The 16 megapixels produce billboard-quality photo resolution. The shutter mechanism is designed to last for at least 200,000 activations and operate at a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 1/8000 seconds. The EOS 1Ds Mark II turns on in less than a second. Compact flash and SD memory cards are used at the same time to save your photo files. Use the three-color histogram analysis to find blown out channels and adjust accordingly. This Canon camera's superior image quality is especially obvious in low-light settings at high ISOs. Refine file sizes of JPGs to fit any job. Save your custom settings to a memory card, which is great for multiple users or multiple settings. The 1Ds Mark II also has video out capability for connecting directly to a TV monitor for viewing. The updated flash metering system from Canon called E-TTL II adds a smart aspect to automated flash mode. The system calculates distance information taken from the lens for perfect exposure and white balance on the first try. Sensors in the digital camera's body rotate images automatically for quicker processing. A customizable readout shows the ISO setting, file number, and shots remaining. Expand your photography options and results with a range of accessories, including Canon EF-mount lenses and a Wi-Fi G transmitter for instant sharing. This is a full-featured, rugged Canon DSLR that is water- and dust-resistant. • great for a 15 year old camera

great camera. 15 years old and the cheapest way to into a full frame camera. i also have a reble t6i and i have to say, the dynamic range on the 1ds is not the greatest. the rebel kinda blows it out of the water. but it is full frame, has all the bells and whistles of a 2003 era camera and looks very proffesional. honestly your galaxy or iphone probably has better dynamic range. but sensor size and lens selection make up for it. i make it sound bad, but honestly between my galaxy, rebel and 1ds. i carry the 1ds all the time. so i guess that says something. it doesn't shoot video. only real con. if dynamic range is your hang up, just bracket and hdr. don't be a purist lol

  • Canon EOS 1Ds MK2 Still Pro Muscle

This Canon DSLR was the top of the line between 2004 and 2007. When it was new, I could not afford to own one. Nostalgia says buy it now, It's affordable...have some real fun! While newer bodies like the 5d series have more pixels and video, basically still photography with this 1ds MK2 is still Pro all the way. I've had Canon's D30, D60, upgrading at each introduction, and they both provided beautiful photos, although limited enlargement capabilities. Now with this body 16x20's are possible utilizing current software. This camera is a bruiser...it's big and heavy, not for the faint of heart if you plan to carry it everywhere. If you know what it feels like to own and drive a '70s muscle car, then you know what its like to use this camera. Personally I wouldn't have it any other way

  • Best camera ever made.

Canon 1Ds Mk ll is an older camera. They weigh more than 2 pounds, which is why they call them the Brick. They are indestructible and will last forever. This is my second one and I made the mistake of selling my first. Not going to do that again. It would be a waste of time to try and tell you whats so good about these beasts. You have to own one to really know that all other camers are just plastic toys. Get one, you'll see. This was an $8000 camera when new, I bought it for $450 and it's still new.

  • Amazing camera

Love this camera, takes great images. Just make sure you read manual or see a instructional video, the controls and settings are not easy at first. I can't believe is 12 years old and still does the job.

  • Best Camera value for the money, bar none.

Totally awesome camera. Its an oldie but still a goodie, and admittedly, its not as easy to use as my Canon 80D, but worth the learning curve. This camera will never go out of fashion. The quality of images produced are still professional grade.

  • Great DSLR.

This is a very good tuff DSLR. CMOS, Full frame, 16.1 MP. Beautiful image quality. Presentation size photos are perfect. I needed a good, long battery life camera for field use. Not a, "smart phone", telephone camera for girls ..

  • Sweet deal for the age vs quality. Still a money maker at 13 years old. Beautiful shots with this one.

Awesome portrait workhorse. Keep it at arms length for all studio work. Some of the kinks have been worked out on the menu system in later models but, as-is, it is an excellent addition to the arsenal. Wouldn't mind having a third 1D (1DX) if i can find a deal like this.

  • Excellent product still great camera

I bought this used and it came more than expected. Excellent near mint condition. Charged it up and started shooting and even though it is older, quality is still top notch and still provides excellent photos.

  • Incredible Cameras

I own both the 1D Mark II and the 1D Mark II N. While they are very similar cameras, I prefer the newer menu options of the N version as well as the larger rear LCD display. I shoot mostly landscapes and I find that I really like the color and contrast I get when using auto white balance and the "Landscape" style option provided in the N versions menu. As simple as that sounds, I always seem to struggle to get the same results with the non-N Mark II camera. With the non-N camera I'm constantly tweaking color and contrast in post processing while the newer N version just seems to get it right the first time. Other than that, both cameras are fantastic tools. No camera could ever feel more solid in the hand and the sound of the shutter tells you you've truly got a professional tool in your hand. And unlike Nikon's older series cameras (D1 series) even the generic NI-MH batteries I buy on Ebay for about $23 each last a long, long time between charges. It's just incredible that today you can get a camera this good...that originally sold for more the $3,000...for so little. But don't let the low prices fool you. Both the Mark II and the Mark II N are incredible bargains. More importantly, they're incredible cameras.

  • Canon 1Dx Mark II

Fantastic camera. Exactly as described in the description. Still one of the best 'flagship ' Canon full frame cameras. Used at a wedding with great results. You should have a second battery as this model dosn't use any standard battery, of course it seams Canon changes design of battery for every model. The battery received with the camera would not hold a charge, probably the original for this used model. Otherwise the camera performed flawlessly.
