Face Detection Technology and in-camera red-eye correction make this a good digital camera for portraits. Face detection can help you focus on your subject and be sure that your composition is balanced. Correcting red-eye while still on the camera reduces the need to edit photos later. I like to use a camera instead of a phon...
I like to use a camera instead of a phone when traveling. In bright sun, the camera visor is much better. I often struggled with a phone camera, as sun glasses made the screen impossible to see. Also, the camera shape with a grip is much easier to handle. Everything works. One cable for file transfer was missing, but I found a replacement.

Excellent little 'Point and Shoot'
This is the last of the Canon PowerShot cameras with a fully articulated screen and a viewfinder. It's a terrific little camera with some good upgrades from the previous model. Image clarity is superb, very easy to use, has many modes to help get the best photos. Very versatile, small and lightweight.
