    A good deal for second bench meter, db function is a rare find on most DVM's. Downfall is batteries cost more then the meter!

    Fluke always a quality product.

    Unit is of outdated technology, but I wanted a benchtop unit and for the price it is a good deal/ The LCD display does leave a lot to be desired but I found a link on UTube where an upgrade can be easily fabricated to replace the existing LCD display.

    The 8050A units are notorious for weak LCD displays. The first unit I received the display was not working at all. The second one I received the display is weak, but readable. If you do a search on the net, you can find information on replacing the display.

    Great value in a vintage benchtop meter.

    Accurate, Easy to use, durable and versatile. The weak point of these meters are the batteries, but only on the meters with the battery option.. Without good batteries they will not work, even when plugged in to the wall plug. Batteries are an easy fix as they can be replaced with commonly available NI-Cad batteries. I have 3 such meters and they are all super accurate.
