A good strong motor to replace no-longer-available US offerings.
For a cheap Chinese engine ($AU574 delivered), the build quality looked good. The install was in a Ariens 1340G ride-on, replacing a battered and beaten 13hp Tecumseh OHV130. Most bolt -on parts mated up (throttle, drive pulleys, chassis); just a quick modification of exhaust and wiring, some oil and fuel and it fired right up. I should mention that I checked the tune before installation (pickup gap, spark-plug gap and valve lash, and everything was spot on! After a quick run in (about 20 minutes up and down on the throttle) it was time to throw it at some long wet grass to load it up at bit. Motor was strong and pretty much effortless cutting on the governor. By all reports the Loncin seem a capable and good value replacement.
