Great fire logs that are eco friendly

Really good price, tbey burn well and smell so nice. As a coffee lover i opened them snd smelled so nice better than ones that smell of fuel. The ash is good and has gone on my compost. Not too messy either. Arrived swiftly and bought twice. Now it's getting warmer won't use so often but will stock up for winter. As space saving compared to lots logs. Also not too heavy to pick up my arthritis makes me struggle with heavy logs. Really superb product in all aspects.

An economical way to get heat from a recycled product.

Although this product claims to burn "Extra Hot" (i.e to burn hotter than normal kiln-dried wood) I'm afraid that in our experience it doesn't quite live up to that claim - at least not in our wood-burner. Having said that, a bag of 16 compressed coffee-grounds 'logs' do burn reasonably well, and is a good way to get heat from something that would originally have been thrown away into landfill. You will however need to light your fire with some wood to get the logs to burn properly. The same product is available from several outlets here on eBay, at varying prices, so it's up to the buyer to choose the best deal for what you want. But coming in a bag like this, it's a sensible way to augment the material you burn to keep warm.

  • Good value

These are great for light fire in wood burning stove but, we find they only last quite a short time, maybe 1hr or so against other similar fire briquette types which burn for 5/6 + hours.

  • Doesn't smell of coffee

I was hoping for a good smell of coffee when first opening a bag of these log, but sadly no whiff of coffee. But there was a noticeable increase in heat from my aga ludlow stove. I tossed in 4 logs onto an established fire. Good heat for nearly 2 hours. Good value if you purchase 2 or more. Good heat from them. Quick delivery. The logs seem to be held together with with a wax of some kind. I would recommend.

  • Good Eco friendly fuel

Good to add to a fire once it has established - like any other reasonably solid piece of fuel. Burns well with good heat and does not produce smoke in a well lit fire. Really good Eco-friendly option for log burner or Chiminea.

  • Great heat, but a bit smokey

These logs have amazing eco qualities, they provide excellent warmth, but from our experience last night, they do smoke a fair bit too. Not a massive issue but in a city environment it might lead to spissues with neighbours.

  • Not for open fires.

I used on an open fire and they didn't work well for this as they produced a high amount of smoke and hot ash. Would be okay for a stove. And I used with wood logs.

  • Good for the environment

Feels good to use something that otherwise would have got into landfill. A great idea, the logs burn well and warm. Do not expect them to smell of coffee, its just the waste coffee sludge that is left after making a coffee that is used to make these logs. They may be a little more expensive than a bag of logs from the supermarket, but I do feel like I am doing good by the environment.

  • Great alternative to wood & love the recycling!

I loved the idea of using these logs, however they do have a strange sickly kind of coffee smelll to them & not at all what I expected! But they burn well & with little smell.
